Android Security

First thing to do is install LBE Privacy Guard. It stops any installed apps accessing sensitive data. Its like droidwall but with actual options. Droidwall is good for quickly turning the next of and on with its widgets but I might ditch it and just use the wifi button.

pocket – passwords

KeePassDroid – passwords

Anti-Virus Free – lookout – Required a log in.

AVG – couldn’t fine a full scan but had a tool for checking files.

Avast mobile security

WaveSecure- would not work without sim

DroidWall -pretty simple

LBE

dr. web light- has a full scan option

So if you have passwords, use a password program, Use LBE at all times, it can be your FW if you want, and do a scan every now and then with avast or dr. web, and maybe run avg in the background. I have my own process for checking virus’s but dont want to say because it will get circumvented. I might not use a virus program because they are never up to date enough to make a difference.

As long as you never put your bank account details in the phone there’s not much they can steal, they might brick your phone or send some spam but that’s about it. Personally my bank card and phone are two different things, I’m not excited about the new swipe credit card system for this reason.
