Android Video Player Apps

January 181818, 201220122012

This one should be pretty easy as not every noob will be getting the codec’s right. Flash player 11 is for the browser, just get it.

VLC, its not the real VLC player. More of a player for streaming from VLC.

MX Video Player: did everything it should, couldnt find a problem, can zoom in but only in the middle.

Mobo Player: this one crashed a couple times and was a pain

Rockplayer: seemed ok but not as nice as mx

BS Player lite: seems this is the one if you have 20gig movie files but I dont, its just a phone

It seems updates keep coming but bs and mx look good. MX you can zoom in to get rid of black boarders someone may not have cropped, it didnt play the .flv in hardware mode maybe thats to do with nVidia/cm7 clash. Same thing with BS but it did play in BS hardware mode. Also Dice Player is apparently the one that can do big files, its all hardware no software codec and its tegra2 plugin seems handy, but it does have ads in the player and no zoom.

Ill use MX for now because it looks nicer but if I hit a snag I’ll try BS again.

I think in the coming months they will all evolve a lot.
